Article Spinning: For Dummies?
So here I am writing an article about article spinning. And here I am hoping that it will be published on a Web site that most likely has a policy against publishing spun articles!
Spinning is the science of producing and submitting multiple, varied versions of an article in order to produce multiple backlinks to a Web page, which in turn makes it easier for it come out on top in a Web search. What gets spun are words within the article so that you aren’t penalized for posting what is frowned upon as “duplicate content.”
Google defines duplicate content as “Substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar.” Google also warns that “In some cases, content is deliberately duplicated across domains in an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings or win more traffic…when a visitor sees substantially the same content repeated within a set of search results…(it) can result in a poor user experience.”
The problem with article spinning is that too many people are doing it badly. Article spinning software offers ten to hundreds of thousands of synonyms, and writers who are in a hurry or don’t have complete command of the language in which they’re writing end up with grammatically and logically incorrect “word salads.” For example, let’s spin those last two sentences badly:

If that seems like a bit of a rewrite, it’s really not: instead of spinning single words, I spun phrases that formed ideas. The result is a paragraph is that retains quality and literacy, but will count with the search engines as being entirely separate — and thus will be good for a legitimate backlink. There’s only one article spinning software I’ve found that does that well:
