Snap Hook

Why do i shank or snap hook my drives?
I make amazingly solid contact with my irons most of the time. For some ungodly reason though, i pull my driver out or three wood and I shank it or hit a really low hook. This is driving me nuts.

This sounds like an in to out move causing the hosel to lead into the ball which results in a shank, or if you turn the clubface over and hit a snap hook. If this turns out to be the case, swinging from in to in is the most effective way to hit a ball. High blocks and low hooks use to be my problem but thinking “arms in front” and “release low and left” have really helped me out and it’s easier to hit a draw or fade with less manipulation from these positions.
It’s hard to tell without a video. Try getting a pro or good player to look at your swing.
