If you do a lot of browsing on the web, or watch a lot of videos, the Core i3 processor in the Sony Vaio EC Notebook will make things very easy. Most users will find all of this extra memory and speed very useful at a price that is less than four digits.
Program load time when you first start the computer is very quick due to the processor and memory. If the work that you do requires fast computations, the Sony F series features a Core i7, which may be too much depending upon what you do. For the money, and the speed that you get, this computer offers the most features for the best price.
It doesn’t matter what you use your Notebook for – article writing, watching movies, chatting with your friends on Facebook, or playing games – the awesome monitor, with its 17″ plus LCD screen, will make you happy. If you’re a gamer or you love to watch movies or videos online, you will love the crystal clarity and depth of the colors that this monitor produces. If you are the type of person who likes to have all your programs open on your desktop for convenience, then you will appreciate the width of this monitor. You will find that the smaller notebooks can’t easily be used when you want to do several things at the same time. However, the Vaio EC will give you the benefits of a traditional desktop PC but with the portability to take it into different areas of your home.
Battery life is another issue, though not a good one, in regard to the Sony Vaio EC Notebook. Notebooks that are similar in size typically have about three hours of battery life, which is also true of this particular computer. The reason that the battery life is so short is that the computer itself is much larger than a typical portable computer. Almost every laptop comes with an AC adapter which is very useful if your battery runs out of juice and you need to plug it in. Battery extenders are also a possible option. Despite all of this, your battery may still have a very short life especially if you cannot hook it up for optional charging. Generally speaking, you would have to really search to find any annoying flaws in Sony’s Vaio EC Notebooks. All the main attributes you look for in a notebook PC are present. In fact, there are even features included that other comparable notebook PCs don’t have. And if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line manufacturer and product, then buying a Sony Vaio EC for a somewhat higher price is a good decision. Keep this review about the Sony Vaio EC handy when you start shopping for a full-featured notebook computer from a reputable manufacturer.
