Side Saddle
Would i be able to ride my TB side saddle?
Shes 15, and i know i would be starting reeeally late, but would TB’s be able to carry side saddle, are they built correctly for it as you see most side saddle horses are pretty stocky!
That saying about “old dogs”… it’s wrong. Don’t be afraid to try it and some horses really enjoy it. You will have to do extra exercises on the side the weight is carried as much on to keep her evenly toned, but other than that if she’s a solid horse (mentally, don’t use a spooky one for this) she’s good to go. Have someone experienced help you get started, just in case she has issues with it and you need and extra brain and pair of hands. Don’t rush it, you’ve waited this long….
