Picking Archery Targets
From 3D deer targets to paper hunting targets picking a target for your hunting needs depends on a few factors. One of those factors is how much shooting space do you have where you will be using your archery targets. If you are shooting inside you’ll need a target that has great stopping power so you don’t shoot right through it. If you are shooting outside you don’t need something to stop the arrows but it is recommended that you do to eliminate the need to chase arrows and hitting undesirable objects.
Paper Targets
Paper targets are the cheapest route for archery targets. Paper hunting targets are used with either a target stand or attached to some other kind of backing material. Paper targets are great if you plan on taking many shots and they are easily replaceable. Another benefit to paper targets is you can save the target to analyze the progression of your grouping.
Bag Targets
Bag hunting targets come in many different options like size and target configuration. When choosing a bag target you will want to check the stopping power of the target. The typical archery bag target can stop an arrow traveling at 300 fps so make sure you get one that meets your needs. Foam Targets

Foam targets are a light weight option so moving from spot to spot is a breeze. Foam targets are very easy to pull your arrows out of so you will not have to worry about getting arrows or broadheads stuck. Foam targets also work very well in indoor applications. Foam target blocks that have 4 shooting sides are great for the shooter wanting to increase the number of shots between replacements.
3D Targets
3 D targets are usually the most expensive kind of target you shot at. Depending on what type of prey you hunt you can find a 3D archery target that will give you a more life like practice experience. 3D deer targets are a great way for any hunter to practice hitting kill spots on the animal. Most of 3D deer targets have replaceable vitals so you can just replace certain sections instead of buying a new target every time. These archery targets are usually only used in outdoor situations but could be used indoors depending on your space restrictions.
