RUGER 10/22 JAMS??????????????
I got my ruger 4 days ago and took it out to shoot right. i take out my shooter ridge 25rd magazine jams no matter what. i couldnt even chamber a round. 2nd i use buttler creek hot lips it jams 4 times out of a 100 rounds??? IS this NORMAL?? using remington bulk ammo. I thought rugers dont jam alot thats why i got one. and how do i fix it?
If you just bought it – did you clean it before first use, per the manual?
If not, clean and re-lube. That may do it.
Clean and lube your Magazines per their manuals as well. Dont max out your mags at first, try half full for starters.
Other than that, just inspect your gun carefully for any obvious burrs or defects. If in doubt take it back to the dealer for inspection…dont work on it or file anything at this point.
