Right Handed
Right handed?

Hi, I’m right handed and I have a problem here. I seem to write horrible according to my teachers and I hold the pencil “wrong”. But if I hold the pencil how they want me too i’ll write sloppy.

On my left I can hold it the “right” way and I got a better grip on my left and I don’t get as tired like my right hand. So should I switch to my left and see if I get better results?

By the way i’ve been practicing with my left and im doing very good, I can write pretty fast now and i’ve been only practicing for a week! But I do write pretty sloppy. But im getting better, each day!
Thanks in advance!

Oh! And one more question! What are the odds that I was probably born as a lefty? I’m asking this cause I remember my 1st grade teacher hating left handed people and she might of switched me but I can’t really remember!
Thanks!
By the way I eat with my left. And i’m not ambidextrous incase you thouth I was.

It’s quite possible that you are really left-handed and were forced to use your right hand. Unfortunately some teachers still make students do that even though everybody knows it’s wrong. Honestly though if your writing style is fine for you then try to ignore the teachers. I’m not sure how old you are but they shouldn’t be worrying about how you hold the pen if your writing is fine. I think it’s pretty significant how you eat with your left hand (do you do anything else with left, like brush your teeth or anything?) so you might find if you keep using your left hand for writing it will get better.
