Pakistani Cricket Fans Threw Bottles At Australian Cricket Players
Recently there was 2 match series of twenty 20 played in Edgbaston between Pakistan and Australian, in which the Pakistan overcame the Aussies. Pakistan won the series 2-0 in Edgbaston but the joys of cricket players and most fans were changed in to worry by some other fans. Bottles and plastic bottle openers were thrown at one Australian player fielding in the boundary. This is a joke from these fans to be honest; I bet if they had kitchen accessories or tableware in their hands, they might have thrown that too which could have caused some serious accident. What were they thinking? May be they didn’t realise they team were winning.
New talents are now coming through to the Pakistan national team one of whom is Umar Akmal who is having a great season so far. The boy is all class. With his Kamran Akmal already making a name for himself at the big stage he is looking to follow in his elder brother’s footprint, to me he looks better than Kamran. Mohammed Aamer is another classy left handed bowler after the likes of Wasim Akram and the kid is only 18. Looking at the current bowling attack of Pakistan they do look very dangerous with Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Aamer and of course Shahid Afridi.
When the team has won the first game and doing very well in the second game why do the fans need to behave in that manner? This is a shameful incident and it shouldn’t happen again, these sorts of fans should not be allowed in any stadium. This will give everyone a bad name.
The Australian players didn’t make much fuss out of it and got on with the game. They are a good team as they showed it against England in their 5 match one day international series as they were beaten 3-0 in the first three then comfortably beat England in last two matches to make it 3-2. Ricky Ponting the captain of Australia have said that they haven’t been playing but also stated that the Ashes is the main focus this year. It is going to a great series. I can’t wait for it to start.
