Does hoppes bench rest 9 foul the barrel of a muzzeloader? ?
Can I clean my muzzeloader with bench rest 9 and not foul the barrel? I just got done deer hunting and need to clean my barrel.
Hoppes 9 won’t dissolve the black powder. You need to use hot soapy water. After the water, I’d run a patch of hoppes 9 down it, just for good luck. It will help prevent rust, just don’t over do it or you might get a misfire next time out.
