Refinishing a gun stock, what can i do?

i have recently started to refinish a gun stock, i am wondering, what can i put on it to make it glossy? (i have already sanded it and it isbare wood now)

I like oil finishes better. The very best I have found is Pilkintons from Brownells. If you want a thick-looking, runny, shiny finish, then use the Tru-oil.

I posted a link describing the oil finish method. If you have the time and patience to go this route, I think you will be happy with the results.
