Grain Leather

Full grain or top grain?
I am shopping for a new living room sofa set. I have found two that i like and can’t decide. One is made out of a top grain leather, the other is a full grain leather. The full grain leather couch is more than twice as much as the other, of course it has a couple of extra upgraded parts to it as well, but my main concern is the leather. Anyone experienced the difference between the two and can tell me which would be the better route? The very much less expensive top grain, or the much more expensive better quality full grain leather sofa?
I’ve had clients purchase both, but in my own home I have full grain leather. It really depends on the usage. If you have pets or children who will be hard on the leather, you won’t be disappointed with the performance of full grain leather, particularly at the the seams. If durability isn’t an issue, top grain will suffice if the construction of the foundation is quality. (i.e. kiln fired hardwood, no plastic joinery, hand tied or coated clipped, reinforced arm ends, corner and support blocks)
