How much would a flat top piston help me on a lifan 6.5 hp motor that has a dish piston in it?
I have a stock 6.5 lifan motor (no governor) it has a stock dish piston 18lbs valve springs and a offset key to advance the timing about 8 degrees i just ordered a flat top piston and was woundering how much increase in power i would get
I have the same motor and I’ve seen the piston kits for it. If you want to spend the money you will get more power, but if youre looking for quick power this is no the way to go. Open up the intake and exhaust, get a bigger carb and I see you already upgraded the valve springs which is good. You can also get a new cam that will give you plenty of power, the piston itself wont give you tons of power but with the right supporting mods it will turn the engine into a beast.
Btw, you’ll probably have to do some machining to get it to fit, and you might need a new rod. Keep this in mind.
