The American Alligator, also known as alligator Mississippiensis, or just simply Gator is one of two species of alligators known in the world. The other species is in China, is not as big as its American sibling and therefore does not have the same quality leather products deriving from its skins. The American Alligator is found in the wild throughout the Southern United States. There are estimated to be millions of Alligators in the United States.
