WoW – The Druid Guide

My WoW druid guide attempts to point you down the correct path when you are starting out as a druid.

The druid is a shape shifting hybrid class which allows you to approach many different play styles and this is the reason why it is one of the most versatile classes in the entire game. It does not matter if you want to end up Raiding or doing PvP, the Druid is a perfect class for either.

If you have ever played World of Warcraft before you know that each class, including Druids, are split into three talent trees. I will take you on a tour of the druid’s different talent trees.

There is the Balance Tree which will make the druid very efficient with spell damage dealers and also allow for great damage spells. Healing spell costs can be reduced by some Balance talents which is important for any good healer, and there are others that are more helpful when in a feral form.

The Feral Tree focuses on shape shifting which allows you to become a cat, bear, or dire bear. These forms will allow you to tank or focus on melee DPS. Learning the right time to change forms is very important. You will need large amounts of maximum mana if you specialize in the Moonkin form, and there are some Feral Combat Talents that modify this.

The Restoration Tree focuses on healing spells, making the druid a very efficient healer, especially because of the Tree of Life form that druids learn by investing in this talent tree. Some of the Restoration talents, such as Furor, will allow the druid to use Rage while in the Cat and Bear forms. Other talents like Natural Shape Shifter will reduce the Mana cost of shape shifting by thirty percent.

There are some setbacks to becoming a druid that you need to know. Since druids have the ability to do so many things, focusing on a single strategy can be quite difficult. It is also necessary to carry more equipment than other characters since different Forms require different gear, so you will need several complete sets.
