the 300 spartans or 300 american soilders from the American Revolution

1.the Americans have 1700s weapons they have muskets,cannons,pistols, and swords but know armor also muskets and pistols will take about 30 to 60 seconds to reload a cannon takes even longer
2.The Spartans have spears swords and shields there armor is made out of bronze and it is lite so the Spartan can move fast
3. the battle will take place in a wide open valley no trees no building and no bodies of water
It is a tie 3 to 3
A well trained cannon crew can easily clean load and fire a cannon in 30 seconds. I think the record is with the British though who managed to reload within 15 seconds by skipping a few safety steps in between loading. The problem would be when continuously firing a cannon the barrel gets hot which weakens the barrel.
However I am with the Americans and their long range weapons. By the time the Spartans get close enough to do any damage at all they already lost members and therefore will be outnumbered.
