How do you set a 16 bit register to a 16 bit binary number?
Assembly languages aside, how would you use a 16 bit register to hold a 16 bit binary number? Say I want the register to hold 0000 1111 0011 0011?
I was thinking you could use two registers, one to hold the high bits (0000 1111), and another for the low bits (0011 0011). But is it possible to have it all in one register?

If an 8-bit register can hold 8 bits, how many bits do you think a 16-bit register can hold? 
There’s nothing magical about the digit 8. Some architectures have 4-bit registers, while others have 128-bit registers.
